Research
NCIRS’s primary function is to perform research aimed at reducing the incidence of vaccine preventable diseases and improving vaccine uptake in Australia.
Research activities at NCIRS include:
- synthesis of evidence to guide development of vaccine policy in Australia
- social and behavioural research and risk communication
- research related to immunisation of Aboriginal and Torres Islander Australians
- clinical studies
NCIRS also provides support and supervision for postgraduate students and professional trainees.
